CASE 1:               a_副本

A 45 years old Asian female with history of Hypertention. Patient is taking prescribed medication: Norvasc for 4 years. Vital signs were within normal limits. Patient presented in the clinic with generalized severe gingival hyperplasia may be exacerbated by biofilm and caused by Norcasc, Calcium channel blocker. Generalized heavy supragingival and subgingival calculus deposits were detected since she never had teeth cleaning before. Oral hygiene instruction were provided (Power toothbrush was recommended as well as flossing and mouthrinse). A periodontal debridement and full mouth scaling was completed in two visits. Patient was administered 2 carpules of Carbocaine during treatment. a  Patient was referred to oral surgeon and advised to discuss with physician about the side effect of the medication.

CASE 2:  

H/III: 55 years old male, heavy smoker (discussed smoking cessation), never had a dental cleaning

Cleaning completed in 2 visits with ultrasonic, hand instruments and prophy jet.
