Week 5 Blog – Marketing .en.es
My internship has been going well and continues to progress as expected. Much of my work has involved conducting research to support the marketing efforts for the company’s upcoming product launch. In addition to researching potential influencers, I have also begun exploring copywriting strategies, headline ideas, and design concepts for an infographic that the company plans to produce. At this stage, I am still in the research-heavy phase of the project, which I now understand is a crucial part of the creative and marketing process.
Throughout this research, I have realized how important it is for companies to stay informed about both their target audience and their competitors. This week, I was asked to make several calls to past customers to better understand their experiences with the company’s products and gather feedback that could be useful for future marketing efforts. I also analyzed the company’s social media presence and compared it with competitors on platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to identify trends and successful marketing strategies.
One interesting observation I made was that some companies primarily post when they are launching a new product or promoting an existing one. However, the brands that seem to perform the best consistently create content that encourages community engagement. Whether through user-generated content, interactive posts, behind-the-scenes videos, or conversations with their audience, these companies build stronger relationships with their customers rather than only trying to sell a product.
This research has helped me better understand what makes a marketing campaign successful. It has also prepared me to provide stronger recommendations when pitching ideas to the influencers our company plans to collaborate with. Instead of simply asking them to advertise the product, I can now suggest content ideas that feel authentic to their audience while increasing engagement for the brand. Overall, this experience has shown me that successful marketing is driven by research, understanding consumer behavior, and creating meaningful connections with an audience rather than focusing solely on promoting a product.
