I chose to pursue a career in dental hygiene because of my early experiences working in dentistry as an RDA and my desire to take a more active role in patient care. After relocating from California to New York, I was motivated to continue growing in the dental field and expand my clinical knowledge and responsibilities. Dental hygiene allows me to combine my clinical experience with prevention, education, and patient-centered care, which I find both meaningful.
Through my education at New York City College of Technology, I have developed a strong interest in the oral-systemic connection, particularly in how conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease affect oral health. My goal is to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care that promotes both oral health and overall well-being.
