Dr. Marianna Bonanome is currently an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the New York City College of Technology, CUNY. She is also a co-coordinator of City Tech’s Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program and co-coordinator of the faculty seminar for the Opening Gateways Title V collaborative grant with BMCC. She received a B.S. in mathematics with a minor in physics from NYU Polytechnic (formerly Polytechnic University) and both her master’s and doctoral degrees from the Graduate School and University Center of CUNY in mathematics. Dr. Bonanome has been teaching mathematics and mentoring students at all levels, remedial through graduate since 2003. She has a passion for mathematics and physics and so actively researches and publishes in the areas of combinatorial group theory and quantum computation.
