Amanda Huminski is a doctoral candidate in Philosophy at The Graduate Center, CUNY and a writing across the curriculum fellow at the New York City College of Technology, CUNY. Her academic work focuses on feminist epistemology and experimental philosophy. In her time at The Graduate Center, Amanda has been involved with a number of initiatives to attract and retain Philosophy students from underrepresented groups and make the undergraduate classroom more hospitable to students from a variety of backgrounds. She has held leadership positions with the New York Society for Women in Philosophy, The Graduate Center chapter of Minorities and Philosophy, and has previously sat on the Philosophy department Diversity Recruitment Committee. Additionally, Amanda works as a Consultant with Boost Social Sector Consulting, supporting nonprofits and other social ventures through strategic and business planning, program and operational improvement, and organizational development.
