Class-

To those of you who have submitted and workshops your editorial illustration ideas… GREAT JOB! On the whole we have some really wonderful potential illustrations!

However… A truly DISTURBING number of you guys have not posted your concept sketches, which were due on Tuesday the 11th. You have missed your deadline and have fallen behind.

TOMORROW Tuesday the 18th is the deadline for your Digital Value Studies. Again please post to the Editorial Illustration page to be found in COURSE WORK.

And next week Tuesday the 25th is the Deadline for the Final Pencil drawing, which we will begin to ink in class.

Deadlines are part of being a professional working artist.

The time to get it together is NOW.

ALSO- to be fully prepared for your next class Tuesday the 25th you must READ the 4 posts on WORKING IN COLOR to be found in RESOURCES.

MIDTERM GRADES

Hello Class,

Your Midterm Grades are posted.  You’ll find them in your Citytech email.  You’ll see an overall grade:

  • P=Passing work
  • BL= Borderline
  • U=Unsatisfactory
  • SA=Stopped Attending

As well as a Breakdown of your individual grades and current average.

To talk about Midterm Grades or how to improve, please make an appointment via email. My office hours are Tuesday 12- 2.

Hello Class!

Hope you all enjoyed the unexpected day off and are warm somewhere doing something productive or relaxing!  🙂

For those of you that followed the Assignment 1 submission directions and POSTED your work to the dropbox for grading, your grades are up.

Go to the file you uploaded into the dropbox and you can read commentary on your work.

The TOP POST is overall commentary and contains the grade.  Under it are several specific suggestions or comments.

Please let me know if you have difficulty accessing it: Reply to this post with your email and I will have dropbox Notify you to view comments.

OVERALL nice work on the assignment class!  Several of you though DO NOT have your work in the dropbox.  If its not there it has not been graded.  You can still upload it as a late submission.
