Dolma Tsering

Summary

Hello, My name is Dolma Tsering. I am currently in my fifth year studying architecture at CityTech. I am from Queens and grew up in Nepal. I’ve been in this country for more than 13 years. In my free time, I like to play volleyball, watch tv shows, travel, and try to learn to cook. I used to play volleyball in high school and loved it. TV Shows are something I can’t live without, I mostly watch American shows and Kdramas. I’m trying to learn how to cook because I love food and I’m not trying to waste money. I also love to eat snacks, these days I’ve been addicted to Kurkure, a South Asian chips brand with its masala-tasting chips.
My academic goal for this semester is to pass all my classes and not be stressed. Hopefully, I can graduate with a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree and have a fantastic thesis project. Then go travel the world before giving my life to the American life of 9 to 5. After that, I would like to start working at an architecture firm to start gaining experience and put hours towards becoming a licensed architect.
I think Gothic means something dark and that it is connected to the time when people made choices based on religious beliefs, especially in architectural decorative choices. I have studied Gothic Architecture in one of the required history classes for the architecture degree. I’m excited to learn about Gothic literature and how it connects to architecture.
