Hello! My name is Rebecca Joseph, and my pronouns are she/her. I am in my third year of college and my major is health policy and management. My goal is to graduate with my bachelor’s degree, and I also hope to earn a nursing degree in the future and to get a master’s degree. My personal interests include doing my nails and makeup, taking pictures, as well as watching shows. My favorites shows usually fall in the time period genre or fantasy/adventure. Usually, I associate “Gothic” with darkness, mystery, and edge. This comes from my observation in the fashion and makeup interpretation of the word. However, I believe the reading genre is quite similar, where the stories feature darker themes and superhuman characters. The only gothic book I have read was the graphic novel version of Frankenstein, but I was in middle school then. I enjoyed the book and its dark mystery, but I haven’t explored any gothic literature since. I am really excited for this course and to learn something that is outside of my comfort zone and maybe find a new favorite genre.

Hi Rebecca,
I like the picture that you choose to represent you which so “girlboss” vibe, I too love makeup and fashion. I was thinking after I finish my degree in Radiologic science to pursue in health policy and management or health administration. I absolutely think you should pursue in nursing which is in high demands right now.
Hi Rebecca, nice to meet you! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the Frankenstein graphic novel that you read back in middle school. I hope the stuff we read and watch this semester are as interesting to you!
