Although we all complain about our jobs and what we do, I love all of my coworkers. IT is true what they say about the full time cast members acting strange towards us because we are College Program students. I however have managed to keep my relationship with my coworkers in a good level because of the effort I put in while I am at work and because I help my coworkers when they are busy and I am not. I believe they appreciate that and all of us would also. I have noticed all the cast members only do their jobs even if they see that other people need help and I am not okay with that because Team work makes the dream work. All of us studying hospitality should know that teamwork is always needed in order for the business’ to work the best they can. I try to advise some of my coworkers to help each other out and I try to help everyone I can in order to teach them that not every college program student is lazy like they think. Another problem we encounter is that part time a full time employees do not reach the hours they want to get because we are given most of them and because of that sometimes some of them treat us differently. I have shown my co workers my personality and have tried my best to get along with everyone at Sunset and I feel like I have succeeded. Spending time with them and the friends I have gained at Sunset is what helps me go through the day!
Cindy, it is so unfortunate that the full timers tend to treat the cps badly. although I understand their frustration; it is never okay to mistreat someone that has zero control over the schedules. Things have gotten so bad at some locations that CPs have actually removed their colleges from their name tags in order to appear as a regular cast member. Like you mentioned helping others out should always be done if you’re not busy and I am a strong advocate for the motto you used. “teamwork makes the dream work!”
