The program has been everything I imagined so far. I have acquired multiple skills, met many people, and networked with many managers and co-workers. This week I will be cross trained in other roles within housekeeping. I will be trained in amenities, house person, and housekeeping base. I am really looking forward to it because it will expose me to the housekeeping department in a whole. I will also be shadowing my manager once classes finish, once a week. I will also be partnering with the guest relations manager at my resort to learn the front office role. I am looking forward to all the good things that are to come. I have also had the opportunity now to visit Hollywood Studios and Epcot for the first time. One thing I have learned in this program is how to work hard and balance so that I can also play hard.
Having the opportunity to cross train is priceless. It adds to your value in the company and allows you to be a better leader because you have a broader understanding of operations. Good for you.
