Weekly Reflective Journal #13

Continuing on my vacation with my dad, I took him to every theme park there is at Disney. I was happy he enjoyed a lot of them and he even rode on some of the rides with me. I didn’t want to take him to any scary drop rides since he is 73 years old and has a heart problem. This is good for me since I am a chicken at these rides and I would totally choose riding on more mellow rides than the extreme ones any day!

My dad even came to my stepping up ceremony where he met all my other coworkers/ best friends from Pop! Sadly though, I didn’t even bother wanting to wait on the long line just to see Minnie and Mickey. The line was excruciatingly long and I heard most people waited 2 and a half hours just to take pictures with them. Unfortunately, throughout my whole program, I didn’t even get to take any character pictures with any Disney characters. The only characters I took was with Pluto who was standing at Epcot.

Some of the most surprising rides that my friends never really bothered showing me was the Great Movie Ride at Hollywood Studios. Most of my friends only want to ride on the more extreme ones such as tower of terror and rockin roller coaster. But the great movie ride was so awesome! It had really great effects and I even learned a little bit about some histories of each movies. I feel like sometimes people should just open up a little and enjoy one of these more educational yet entertaining rides instead of trying to kill themselves to death with extreme thrill rides that I have trouble handling.

  1. Ninoska says:

Glad you had the chance to experience a magical place with your father, it was also really nice meeting him!

  2. That is so nice that your dad came to visit you and you were able to introduce him to something he had never seen. I myself was trying to get my parents to come down and visit but they weren’t up for it. One it comes to the rides I do agree you have to try all them not just the extreme ones, also the shows as well.
