Weekly Reflective Journal 10

Spending my first Thanksgiving away from my family and close friends was really hard. I thought that since I’ll be working I really wouldn’t think about or that it wouldn’t bother me but it did. I just kept seeing all the families together for the holiday. I was also really shock to see that they didn’t even provide dinner or anything for us. Being that this is Disney and such a big corporations, I thought that they’ll do something special for their employees that had to spend the day at work but they didn’t. I was really down and upset and was trying my hardest to not let it show or interfere with work.

This week at work while I was checking in a family, it was their first visit to Walt Disney World and they were really excited. I always love checking in first visitors because they don’t know what to expect and always have really fun questions to ask. So after checking them in I helped them set up fast passes for the rest of their stay. The two little girls really wanted to meet Anna and Elsa and like always they were no more available for that. So I was able to get an override from one of my leaders to make their 1st  visit  here at Walt Disney World more memorable. They were so happy. Moments like those really make me enjoy what I do.
