Today I had 10 checkouts to clean. This was the most checkouts I had ever cleaned during the whole program. Apparently the bad news was that most of the guests didn’t even leave their rooms until 10:30AM. I was ready to cry because I was so freaked out about having this many checkouts. The things that runs through my head would be how do some of the housekeepers continue to work for the Disney company for like 10+ years? Housekeeping to me is a very miserable job and the pressure to clean fast and efficient is too much for most people.
During the end of the day, a nice house person named Jean helped me stripped all of my beds and made 3 beds and cleaned 1 full checkout. I felt so touched and happy that I had some support before I was going to literally break down from cleaning so much to the point of death. I was so glad that when all my checkouts were done, it was 4pm. Overall, I was very glad that I pulled through this difficult day and continued going without giving up.
