You can use 5.3′.

Thank You Professor.
professor i cant find the length of B22 is it given??
Scale it off of the drawing, if you use the full scale drawing you can use an engineering scale

Anyone know if for the Dead and live loads do I multiply the loads by the beam length AND the floor width, or just by the beam length?
add the loads and multiply them by TW that gives you W, you multiply the length by W to get the resultant force
To find Tw you find half of the distance on either side of the beam, correct me if I’m wrong.
Correct, the beam is responsible for 1/2 the floor distance to the next beam on either side
Professor if my beam is a W8x15 do I add that weight to my W after I do P x TW or do I add it to my P before the calculation. Being that it’s 15lb/ft does that make the weight of the beam 120lb and not 15 ?
The weight of the beam is in lb/ft, add it to the w which is also in lb/ft. Follow your units and you’ll be ok.
