A Communication Design Portfolio
This was a stamp project for Typographic Design II class in the Fall of 2004. I decided to utilize clean lines and simple typography to convey sophistication and clarity. I also wanted to incorporate a sort of whimsical charm to it by adding the pop of red USA and bold .37 cent going diagonally across the center of the stamp.
This project was completed for Life Drawing class. The figure drawing captures the grace and poise of the human form. Here the play of light and shadow across the figure shows the contours of the body while sitting down.
For Into to Video class, this was a Travel Film project which documented my travel experience to the Museum of Street Art in Bowery, Manhattan. The video captures the essence of the different locations while traveling there as well as the different artworks on display at the museum’s staircase. This was a very fun project to work on because with the use of Adobe Premiere Pro, I was able to edit the various clips and add music.
This was my poster design for the Brooklyn Zoo for Visual Communication or Communication Design I class in the Spring of 2006. This poster design displays a blend of imagery and typography. The reptile and the snake coming in at the corners of the poster is visually captivating while the simplicity and informative layout encourages the viewer to visit the zoo.
This storyboard is for an animated film project for Storyboard Concepts class. It showcases the creative process of visualizing narratives, scenes and concepts through a series of illustrated frames. Each frame provides a glimpse of storytelling and visual development for the film.
This photograph was taken at Amsterdam Centraal (Central Station) in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Taken at a low angle, this photograph captures the unique perspective of the street signs and the clear blue sky as its background.
This drawing was completed on my free time. It accurately represents the still objects through observation. The composition exudes a sense of harmony and balance with the delicate shadows enhancing the depths of the objects.
The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
