I think that the most important thing that I’ve taken away from my first project is that a strong sense of positive and negative space, is important for an art piece and both its aesthetic appeal and readability. Though i do think I’ve succeeded in demonstrating a few art components in this project, i do think i could have improved on a better figure ground relationship, along with a stronger sense of positive and negative space.

Even though i like to draw often, i hope to gain as much knowledge of the basic concepts of art and design as possible. Over the course of this semester i hope to see at least a small improvement in my artwork, and what i can do to bring out my fullest potential.
The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
