The Earth From Above

I have always been fascinated by mountains, by their heights, their shape and the breathtaking views they project. I am going to take you guys on a journey to Haiti which is one of the best places in the world to see this natural phenomena. The country is surrounded by mountains, its name was given by the native Indians and it means high lands and Beautiful mountains.

Hiding comfortably under the clouds, this splendid sight is only witnessable from above of the earth.

One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure. Don’t just live in the world, explore it and find a place that is yours.

Look deep as far as your eyes can see, there is always one last mountain chain waving at you.

Only up there, one can have a glance of the city by witnessing its corners all at once.

  1. Beautiful pictures! Are you from Haiti? My family is from the Dominican Republic! I’ve always wanted to go to Haiti and now these pictures are making me even more eager to go haha.

    • Thanks! Yes I’m from Haiti, it’s very beautiful especially in the countryside where I took most of these pictures. They have very good food, nice places and of course the beaches are awesome there. Go visit, you won’t regret it.

  2. Lovely photographs, Jean-Luc!! I love your innovation of taking these photographs while enjoying a plane ride. Will your photographs vary from place to place? I love how Haiti evokes a different sense of nature than New York. Can’t wait to see what else you post in the future.

    • Thank you Brianna!! I only took the first photograph while on the plane, the others were when I went hiking with some friends in the countryside. Well, yes my photos will vary, it will depend on the theme that I’m portraying but it will mostly be about New York. You are right, in Haiti there is more natural vibe. It’s an island so many things are different from New York.
