Project Description:
Our assignment was to create a book cover, spine, and back cover for a book of our choice or make up a whole new book on your own. I decided to make my own since I already had an idea and an OC for it.
Process:
My OC, named Elijah, is a character with psychic powers due to his third eye. So I drew him in front of this “psychedelic” background, that I made with Procreate brushes, and downloaded a font from dafont.com for the book title to match the dark sci-fi theme I was going with.
I had so much fun doing this project that for my Communication Design II final (at Pratt) we were assigned to design a sci-fi book series. I used my same OC, as well as his 4 friends as inspiration. It’s basically a book series where 5 friends have superpowers. These were also designed in Procreate:
