Myths About Google Jobs and Hiring

  1. Mountain View. All job positions are in Mountain View CA, FALSE. Google has many locations around the country. The New York site is a big one.
  2. Code Robot. All you will do while working at Google is coding, FALSE. Google has many types of roles and most of them require to work in very dynamic teams.
  3. Ivy League.  To work at Google you must have a degree from an Ivy League college, FALSE.  Google hires talented people regardless of the school they graduate from.
  4. 4.0 GPA Required. To work at Google you must have a 4.0 GPA, FALSE.  Google hires talented people that show his/her skills during the interview process.
  5. Smartest People.  Google hires only the smartest people, FALSE
