Today was Fete de la Musique but seeing as it was the weekend and almost 100 degrees out, I decided to sleep in and spent all of my morning and afternoon in my hotel room hiding from the blazing sun. I made myself brunch consisting of scrambled eggs and brioche toast with cream cheese and chorizo.
After making friends from Amsterdam at Madame Arthur’s drag cabaret yesterday, they spontaneously invited us to Gournay-sur-Marne to have dinner and swim in the river. We took the RER E train for the first time out to Challes Gournay and they drove us the rest of the way to Il Cappuccino, an Italian restaurant.
We ordered two pizzas, Rucola and Bufala pizza to share the four of us, and ordered our drinks respectively.
After dinner made our way to the river where we cooled down from the scalding weather until the sun set and they drove us back to the RER where we made our way home.
