This is the first off day of the week, which left a lot of time on our hands, and a whole city to explore. Today I decided to join professor Aberu on a trip to the cosmetics store in the Centris d’Animation Les Halles-Le Marais. The store was huge and the choices felt endless. I walked out the store with a bag ten times heavier than what I came in with.
Shopping sprees always get me hungry. The moment we left the store we headed out for something to eat, and settled on Burger King. It was surprising to see how different the quality of food is in France compared to the US. The food was great and I will definitely pass by again before leaving. Shortly after, we walked back into the mall to check out other stores H&M was one of my first stops, then moved onto Mango, and MINISO. I was able to buy some cute clothes for myself and a few souvenirs for my family.

We then visited the souvenir shop at Palais Garnier and was excited to see al sorts of trinkets. They had keychains with mini ballet shoes on them and fuzzy pencils. One of my favorite finds was a children’s book that teaches you about the basics of ballet.
The last stop was Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet. My goal was to buy kitchen items such as utensils, plates or mugs. I bought these adorable salt and pepper shakers in the shape of peas! There were also these cute glass cups that had animals in the center. It was a great start for the weekend and I can’t wait for the many other days we have ahead.
