Day 9: Hotel Tours

Our day started with us meeting at the lobby at 9:15am.

We began our first hotel tour at the LXR Hotel. We were welcomed by Emma who is the HR Director and Angel who is an intern. LXR is a new hotel that was opened 2 months ago and as of the time we visited their rooms were fully booked. We started our tour with little history about the hotel and after the history we were split into two groups in order to give us the full tour of the hotel. Our tour started from the lobby, to room, fitness and Spa, to two restaurants which are Restaurant Kinugawa which is Japanese and Restaurant le SAX which is for the hotel, and to the roof top. LXR has 118 rooms and their rooms charge about are from 800 Euros to 1400 per night. They also have a roof top where their guests have their breakfast, fitness and SPA are opened for outsiders only if they have membership.

We break for lunch and after lunch we split into our groups which are group A and group B to have another tour of hotel. Group A had Pullman Hotel tour at 2pm and Group B had a tour at Peninsula Hotel at 3pm.

I was part of group A and we had a tour of the Pullman hotel. Theo and Lise welcomed us and we started our right way. The tour started from the restaurant, to the kitchen of restaurant, to the lobby, rooms, and then to the sky bar which is only for reservations. The price range of the rooms are from 200 Euros and higher. However, the price range of the rooms may differ depending on the seasons. After the tour we had a seat at one of their green rooms for questions and answers. Before, I forget we were been surprised by the hotel with the name of our college displayed on the two screen at the hotel and a gift and that was the end of our hotel tours.

We ended our day with wine tasting which was from 6pm to 7:30pm. The wine tasting was led by Tanisha. We tased 4 different wines, Champagne B.Stuyvesant, Chinon le Chenin D’A Cote 2023, Pieracci 2023, and Ploussard La Sombarde 2023.

  1. I stayed at the Pullman last year. I liked the location and the amenities of the hotel though it was bigger than I typically like it felt welcoming. Having multiple hotel visits is valuable.
