Day 7: Blogger of the Day, Sweet and chill

Our second day off meant we had the leisure to wake up whenever we liked. I had a slow morning, spending some extra time in bed.

Ari and I explored the flea market near the metro stations. We found lots of affordable options for clothes, jewelry, home goods, shoes, and toiletries. I saw many things I wanted to buy and ended up getting a pair of shorts for just 5 euros.

After the market, we took the metro to Odéon and visited several shops. First, we stopped at the boutique established by chocolatier Patrick Roger, who holds the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France Chocolatier. We bought an assortment of his chocolates. I had heard great things about his work—it has inspired others to become chefs because of his exceptional creations and artistic chocolate sculptures.

We continued exploring the neighborhood and browsed various shops, including a comic book store. I saw lots of comics, figurines, and Studio Ghibli merchandise that caught my eye. I bought a few pins and tickets. Afterwards, we wandered through the parks, relaxed by the river, and tasted the chocolate I had bought earlier. It wasn’t life-changing, but the flavors made me think differently—they gave me a new perspective on how unexpected flavor combinations can work together in perfect harmony.

Later, we returned to the market to buy dinner ingredients, then relaxed in the pool, where I also learned how to float. We had a delicious dinner and, overall, it was a lovely day.
