tenth, but not least.

My internship hours are nearing an end and I have a few more days in the office until I have to deal with finals and take a short break from the office. But the workload doesn’t lessen. My supervisor, Ray still had many product labels for me to work on continuously. And just when I thought I was finished with that, I was asked to rebrand our New World Health Brand’s logo and work on a confidential pitch deck for future investors.

Our CEO pulled me in to the office along with Ray to talk about the rebranding and in my head, I was thinking to myself about asking for a full time and a higher pay because I knew for a fact that rebranding is an expensive thing to do. In the end, I didn’t bring it up, but he did indirectly tell me to stay with them longer. Ray and I heard it in his tone that he wanted me to stay, but I had to think about it first. With finals and graduation coming up, everything was a little overwhelming. I played it off by telling them that I need a break off first to study for finals, and that I will shoot them an email as soon as I complete school.

So my final task before taking my break was rebranding their New World Health Brand logo.

This is their current logo.

And in 4 hours (which is a REALLY short amount of time), I managed to come up with these 2 logos for them to pick from.

I was pretty much proud that I came up with these because I had such a tight deadline and it matches my style as a designer. It’s simple and has meaning to the brand and its product.

I haven’t made any promises about staying with this company yet, and they already have a task waiting for me to do. They want me to re-do ALL the labels again, and put the logo in. That’s going to take awhile.

So, on my last day there, I handed the blank evaluation sheet to Ray and he told me, “Don’t worry, you’re getting all positive results from us!” And I told him, “Thank you! But my main concern is my final oral presentation and finals.”

He wished me luck and I took off.
