Remember that your username and display name can be pseudonyms, rather than your real name. However, using your real name as your display name will make it easier to give credit for your participation, as well as, make it easier for your teachers and classmates to connect your OpenLab name with the one you use in class. If you decide  to use a different name, please make sure the connection to your real name is clear.

Your avatar does not need to be a picture of your face–just something that identifies you on the OpenLab.

Session Objective:

  • To introduce students to the learning outcomes of the City Tech 101 Workshop
  • To introduce students to City Tech instructional technology
  • To encourage communication among new students, peer mentors, and instructors

Activities

When possible, students would benefit by using a computer and a mobile device during the workshop. If you do not have a computer to use for class, visit the City Tech website to learn how to borrow an electronic device.
