Gordon Parks was the first African American to make important motion pictures in films that were related to slaves and poor black African Americans. Also he’s a writer and film director, a musician who became well known in America. Gordon Parks was the first African American photographer, film director, musician to be in  Life and Vogue magazines. Gordon Parks is also one of the best innovative artists in 20th century photography. He was known especially on civil rights, race relations, and urban lifestyle. Gordon was born into poverty, segregation in Kansas, in 1912. He brought a camera and taught himself how to use it. Gordon was also the youngest of 15 siblings.
