Definition

Racism is where someone thinks you’re inferior because of your color, ethnicity, nationality or race. This can result in them treating you differently or unfairly, this is called racial discrimination. Racial bullying is a type of racism where someone’s bullying focuses on your race, ethnicity or culture. It’s illegal to treat people differently because of their race or culture. Racial bullying can range from casual but hurtful remarks, to deliberate physical and verbal attacks. Racism and racial bullying are wrong and you can get help to make it stop.

Why People are racist?

People are racist because sometimes they heard something bad from others about other’s culture and they blindly believed this thing and didn’t judge by own. Also some are following the stereotype of the culture and judge by this basis. They also believe if one person in the culture is doing bad then the whole culture is bad. They blamed the whole culture. Most of the time black people are targeted. Some people thought black people were rude, arrogant, mean and don’t know how to behave with others. They think they are ugly black skinned and don’t deserve this beautiful planet. They just judge them by their stereotypes, not their reality. If any black people were not good then they thought every black person had a problem and they hate them. People are bullying them, treating them badly, using abusive language and sometimes provoking them to fight physically. But it’s a crime and totally unfair.

  • How Racism Impact Our Society

Racism negatively impacts our society and family. Because of that some people are feeling depressed, traumatize and some are forced to commit suicide. People don’t live comfortably and freely in their society. Racist people are really hateful and angry of the other’s communities and sometimes they are murdered because of this. People who are bullying don’t care about how others felt being bullied. Racial bullying can affect people’s life deeply; then they feel depressed, upset and angry. Sometimes they give up their tolerance and commit suicide.

  • Examples

The story of “Mckenzie Adams” is an example of racial bullying where a 9 years old black girl took her own life by hanging herself. She was forced by to commit suicide because in her school everyone were treating very badly, taunt and making joke with her every moments. Then she lost her tolerance and took her life. The other story is about George Floyd, who was brutally murdered by white police officer in public because of being black. There were lots of protests happening about getting justice but he still did not get justice. Lots of murder and suicide cases were done because of that. These things are getting worse day by day.

  • How to Prevent Racism

People should have to prevent this problem. Specifically, our Government should take necessary steps to prevent racism. If the Government make any laws against racism then public will not able to do any crimes, murder and other things. First of all, we have to improve our education system like all people have to know about the history of civil rights and injustice of black people then they realize it and feel their emotions. If they know the history then they can’t deny the history. All teachers have to know about our history and teach their students about that. Then most of the people are aware about racism. We need to change our system because people are following the exact same thing from the system. After Lincoln’s death, the System of Confederate Vice President wrote that white people superior to black people. So people were following this thing. People were bullying, criticizing, making fun with black people but now we need to change this system because in our country everyone is equal. We all deserve freedom and equal rights. We have all raised our voices against racism and fight for our rights. We have to spread positive things and anti bullying messages to others for aware about those and prevent from that. If we removed racism from our country and world then everyone lives their life easily and freely and builds a peaceful and freedom world. So, our government should spread an anti-bullying message from people to prevent other families from racism.
