Mary Kate McDevitt
I like about this piece is that she able to express her lettering to the words she is describing with.
What I like about this Artist style is that she uses bright colors and is able to manipulate the shape of the typeface she uses.

1: I chose Darren Booth.
2: I like that his art style is a mixture of modern typography with classic art styles. I like how it’s typed but also looks like it’s painted to give it a more natural and traditional look.
3: His work consists of a collage of natural and warm colors and sometimes the texture change which can convey feelings.
I feel the artists that inspired me the most of this list has to be Jessica Hische, I say this because her way of lettering feels free, yet it varies just from what I can see on her website, but the way she presents her letters (almost like a grid for each of them) makes them extremely recognizable and match along with one another in a way. Specifically, I want to call out her ‘Wash Your Hands’ piece, this is because the almost bubbly lettering fits the theme she was going for very well, and alongside the rainbows on the lettering it makes the letters almost feel like their bubbles themselves with a kind of rainbow reflection on them. However, I feel the one thing I like the most in Jessica Hische’s style, is her use of color, particularly for this piece as well. Despite the background being white this helps bring more focus onto the letters, while also amplifying the feelings of them being ‘bubbles’.

I choose Darren Booth. What I like about this piece is the way that it looks like it was painted. It looks like there was tape added to blend in. What I like about the style of the artist is the way that it seems like the type is painted on. It looks calligraphy with the brush strokes. They also continuously use very bright colors.

I chose Jessica Husche. I love when movement, texture, and the actual product is used within its word itself. In this case it is caramel. I really like how festive Jessica is with her work and use of script. She makes script in a more fun and playful way instead of a more professional way like man other designers. “>

Mary Kate McDevitt
I chose Mary Kate McDevitt. I chose her because some of her work has motivating quotes such as this one saying to be patient with yourself. I like this piece that she’s done because of the message on the art piece. I like the color scheme that McDevitt also chose, I believe that the colors go well with one another. I like the artist style not only with this piece of work but even the rest of her artwork as well. I think the artist’s choice of lettering is very uniformed and fits with the message that she’s trying to tell. I also like the 3D effect that she implied in this artwork. It makes the lettering stand out and be the center of attention.

I like how the piece uses texture. It not only gives a wood like feel but also an illuminating effect. The illuminating words although bright, does not take over the whole piece because of the balance that it has with the illuminated words. The piece has a lot of character and looks very three dimensional when looking at it, especially with the text that looks like wood. Also I like how in the design it looks like a room in itself, adding onto what the piece actually says and creating an environment for it.
What I like about Jessica Hische’s style is that she is able to create a balance with different typefaces. In various examples like this piece she uses a combination of sans serif and script text. I like that her works really shows when to use these typefaces in order to create a statement of their own. Due to the way she combines different styles I feel very engaged with all the components of her designs. Lastly, I would say I like how her style is bold and how she creates and environment for the text she creates.

I choose this image because I really enjoy seeing all types of collage. What i like about this image because it gives off a magazine cover type of vibe and also a playful vibe my eyes don’t stay in one place I can see all the unique designs in it. I like that the style is very chill i like that he adds in a few things but not too much to change the collages.

Something I like about this piece is how the attention grabbing style that was used for the word “Best” and how that contrast the blue background. I also like how they make the color yellow and blue match well.
I like the cursive style along with the sort of carnival style of the fonts. It’s like a mixture of circus/carnival mixed with cursive
