This week I finished my wood cuts, and started on my plexiglass cuts, the CNC operator never cut 1/2″ plexi on the the smaller CNC Mill machines before so we was figuring out the setting for plexi as we went along. Also this week i figured out i wont be able to use the laser cutter to cut some of my Plexiglass.

This week I continued to use the CNC Mill to cut my wood. I’ve gotten most of my pieces cut this week but the cutting process is going to have to continue into next week. Also this  week I got more wood from my job.

This week i put together a plan of action to use the CNC Mill, also this week we started to program Rhino CAM for my first CNC Cut, also during this week i made my first CNC Cut. The cut wasn’t up to my standards so i trashed it and counted it as a test cut.

This week the CNC machine is still broken, and I was advised to to do the presentations without the Lamp being build or take an incomplete for the semester and finish my project spring semester 2016. For this reason i went to my place of work, Showman Fabricators, to help me with with my project by CNC machining some of my project.

This Week i started to order the pieces for my project, i believe that i was able to buy and get everything i needed. This week i also had my second meeting with my adviser John McCullough, and he told me the big CNC machine was broken and I had to put off starting the CNC process.

This week I finished my cam drawings, at first i had trouble putting the autocad files into Cam Bam, John McCullough then told me to try saving the Cad drawings into .Dxf and then put it in to Cam Bam and it worked. after that i had to input the cutting paths, depths, and other information to make the CNC cutting work. Then I met with John McCullough for my second meeting to go over my Bam Cam drawings and then he told me to go a head and make a test cut drawing.

This week i got my new Laptop it cost me $100, the laptop i end up buying the Dell Latitude E6400, it has 4 Gb of ram, and 250Gb of memory. It has window 10 installed, then I installed Autocad, and then Bam Cam. Then I had to start working in Bam Cam. 

This week my computer stop working so i’m spending this whole week researching and looking for a window laptop. This would add more cost to my budget.
