In his essay titled “Events That Encourage Me to learn” Akmal writes about how the COVID-19 pandemic, and online learning, has effected him. The pandemic, and online learning has had both positive, and negative effects on Akmal, but he still wants to learn as much as he can online, and pass his exams, even if this situation isn’t ideal for him. The negative effects on him are that he can’t experience being in college in an actual classroom or lecture hall on campus, and that it takes more time to get answers to his questions from the internet than from a professor or teacher in a classroom. Akmal believes that the positive effects of online learning are that it has taught us how to be independent from home, and to be more responsible to our school and jobs.

I liked reading the sentence “the main point is to try to find light on the tunnel even it is hard I mean when students want get success they need to work hard, and find different ways to learn then it will show good results.” I like this sentence because I think that it really gets his point across that if a student wants to be successful in tough times like this, that student has to put in the work, and get used to learning in ways that they aren’t familiar with.

One question that I have about the story is does Akmal think that virtual “office hours” is good enough for students that have questions in online classes that don’t have live zoom or blackboard collaborate meetings?

1 Akmal story is about how covid-19 changed his college experience he talks about how he wanted to be able to go to college in person and make new friends and help each other out if need be but because of covid – 19 it taught him on how to be more independent and to ask more questions when he needs help.
2 The section that stood out to me the most is in the first paragraph when he talks about being upset that he isn’t able to go to college in person and being face to face with a real teach, I feel the same way about all of that beause I want my first year to be a real college exprince and make new friends.

3 One of the questions I have for you is what other things would you have been doing in college if covid-19 did not ruin your college experience for you this semester.

    1. Akmal story is about how COVID-19 affected his learning experience for college. he talked about he was excited and the he found school would be one. he did mention that it is difficult going to school online because he doesn’t have access to certain things he would have access to if he was in going to school on campus.

    2. The part that stood out to e is the part when he talk about fininding out about online school. I like this section because I can relate to his feelings and emotions about online school.

    3. What stragies do you have that helps you have a smooth process online?
