Mid-Term Presentation

>>DropBox folder Please save your Portfolio In Class Presentation from the past two weeks into the class dropbox folder titled ‘Mid-Term Presentation’ folder. You should have received an invitation to it via email, so you should all now have access. Please create a folder with your name and save your mid-term pdf presentations within. If you did not create a pdf presentation, a text document with links to the relevant content or a folder with images are also acceptable. 

Part 2 – Semester Details

You will be working on the following assignments in addition to completing any work from the first part of the semester.

  1. COVERLETTER
    • >> Read PDF Presentation
    • Create a mock-up cover letter for a job or internship that you would or want to apply to.
    • This can be used and edited for future cover letters.
    • Do job and internship research to use as an example when writing your cover letter.
    • Use resume header and branding so it works with your resume design.
  2. BUSINESS CARD
  3. PDF PORTFOLIO
    • >> See samples of past student’s PDF Portfolios for reference. Students included are Jerry Wei, Amara Worrell, and Stephen Alenus.
    • Include your branding, name, contact info(email, website phone, etc), and portfolio images.
    • Make sure contact info is set as a footer or header in your pdf.
    • 11” x 8 1/2” is a good pdf size.
    • When emailing pdf portfolios never attach a pdf larger than 10mb. For larger files use a transfer link.
  4. COMPOSE A BIO for your website if you have not already done so.
    • >> Read this article for help.
    • The bio can be less formal than your Linkedin bio and the resume statement. It should give your audience a greater sense of who you are. You can show more personality. Pay attention to grammar and tone.

Midterm Grades

Your midterm grades will be posted to the OpenLab via GradeBook by March 24th. The midterm grading scheme is as follows:

  • P=Passing work
  • BL= Borderline
  • U=Unsatisfactory
  • SA=Stopped Attending

Please note all in person classes are mandatory and you are required to meet individually with us at least 3 times between now and our final meeting.

DUE

Your completed Portfolio along with all the other outlined assignments must be completed by May 20, 2022. We will be in touch with details about the final in person meetings as well as the end of semester Portfolio Review.
