ENG2700 Intro to Professional and Technical Writing, Fall 2023

Hi Students,

I’m feeling good, testing negative, and so I’ll see everybody on Tuesday for our last class!

It will not be a long class, but please come and deliver portfolio materials (especially graded drafts)

Hello Students,

This morning I woke up feeling achy all over. I took a test, and it’s confirmed. I have Covid.

What does this mean for us?

First, I means that I won’t be coming to class on Thursday. Students are not required to go to 601B.

Second, it means that everyone can still gain 5 extra points. Please email your Google doc (as PDF) to me before 5 p.m. on the 14th. I will email a confirmation to students as they submit. Hold onto your graded drafts until December 19.

Third, we still have class on Tuesday, December 19. I hope to be able to attend the class (with a mask). But, if I don’t recover in time, then I will have to figure out a way to collect your graded drafts.

Honestly, this is not the way I wanted to end the semester. I have enjoyed this semester, and I hold all of you in high regard.

Expect more emails on Friday or Monday.

HOMEWORK due Thursday, Dec 14: Submit the Final Portfolio (via email) and turn in the original Deliverables in class for five extra points.

NOTE: We have class on Dec 19 (our last day). Final Portfolio is due in class for full credit. If students turn in the final portfolio between 11:40 a.m. and 5 p.m. I will deduct five points, but I will accept it. If students submit the Final Portfolio after 5 p.m., no points or credit will be awarded.
