One of my all time favorite movie is The Dark Night Rises. The movie starts off with the Joker robbing a bank and  killing all his crew mates and fleeing with the money. Batman and the whole city of Gotham becomes aware of his presence and things he is willing to do just to get a kick out of it. The police eventually does capture the joker and keep him detained for a couple of hours, until he breaks lose. Towards the ending sequence of the movie, the Joker plans to blow up the city and the Batman comes and fights him until he is defeated and saving the city.

After the Joker escapes custody, he plans to destroy the city and killing the Batman along with it. In the ending sequence of the movie, the Batman finds the Joker’s  whereabouts and fights him until he is defeated while also saving the whole city.
