part 3 project mission statement

My Independent company will be about doing commissions for people who are interested in my art. My art is photography, graphic design , illustration and painting based. What I want to offer to people is my art and show them how design can have a meaning as in style or a deeper message. My purpose will be to satisfy my customers requirements based off how they want their product to be created and what they feel should be incorporated; whether it being a painting, photograph, sketch, or a design.

My audience is companies/artists, and people who are interested in investing in the art and design industry. With this there can be many opportunities open for me with networking with different groups or individuals who create or promote art. I can meet customers needs better than ever based on new techniques and gathers I consume by creating art day by day.

The goal of mine is to satisfy people needs with art either it being a message or having a deeper meaning that meets their personal interest.

Mission Statement (part 3)

A mission statement is a short statement of why an organization exists, what the overall goal is, and identifying the goal of its operations or values. It usually is straight to the point and is much shorter than other statements. A mission statement can surprise, inspire, and transform your business. When making one, the goal has to be realistic and attainable. A great mission statement can guide and lead a company from the bottom all the way to the top

My mission statement is that I want to find a style I’m good with expand on it. It could be drawing, sculpting, painting, whatever I have the most fun with and it appeals to me. Then I want to be able to become a part of something big, like the development of a video game and be able to use what I learned to help the team out and share my ideas with others.

Mission Statement (rationale/part 4)

A mission statement is a formal summary of the aims and values of a company, organization or individual. It is usually a short statement of why an organization exists, what it’s overall goal is, identifying the goal of its operations: what kind of product or services it produces, its primary customers or market, and its geographical region of operation. This statement is supposed to represent a company and why someone or a group of people should be interested in what you have to offer and why you offer it. I chose a mission statement because I feel as if it most clearly represent/ serves as a guide for what I want to do. And my mission statement is for me (and those who I may work with to achieve a similar goal) to use imagination, creativity and design in order to express different forms of entertainment. I also chose this statement because I want these expressions of entertainment, whether that he video game creation, video making, art ,animation ,etc…To help inspire others (general public) and make their lives easier.

One feature of a mission statement is to statement is to have you he mission/vision of the company. And a good way of doing so according to fitsmallbusiness.com is to start off by asking general questions such as “what is it we (company/organization/individual) do?”, “What do we create” and “how does it make a difference”. Once these basic questions are answered you can begin to make sample mission statements. And to those questions what I want to do is create entertainment, what do we create (more specifically than entertainment) would be videos, animations etc…As for how does it make a difference? Would be it inspiring others or improving their daily lives.

Another feature of a mission statement is having a core audience or a target audience/ market that your product or service is going to be produced for. My target market would most likely have to be the entertainment industry. So that includes anything from gaming to television to animators and just anything really under that umbrella of entertainment and joy. That would be the market for me because that’s where my products or services would have the most impact and influence. Even the general public may also be a target market because maybe something I create can help benefit it then as well. For example if I had a service for content creators who have an idea on the type of video they wanna make but they aren’t necessarily sure of how to make it or where to start. I could have a service where it’s a person or people  who are skilled at editing and creating  videos that are paid by the person who seeks help with their ideas. And these people are hired based on however many hours are needed (an affordable price) and the teams I have would help that person fully bring their ideas into reality making their lives less of a hassle and therefore making the lives of them easier.

One other component of a mission statement would be to state the goals and objectives that the company or individual hopes to achieve through whatever it is that they do. This can sort of be represent by the entire statement as a whole as it is a form of a goal. But pertaining to my statement more specifically goals/ objectives would be to very efficiently use the creativity and imagination of those working (within the company) and create things that have a positive impact on the world. Another goal could be to not put out a product or say something that we ourselves do not adhere to.

Artist Statement

I am a communication design student at the New York College Of Technology who is looking forward to using education to develop my skills in graphic designing. I use programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to edit images that I find interesting and that can help me inspire or deliver a message to my audience.

In my art, I use images and text to express my thoughts and feelings rather than verbally communicating them. When I combine texts and images, I like to inspire people with my work. I want them to get inspiration from every work I do. I combine images and words to tell a story; the story of my ambitions and how I plan to conquer the world, how I plan on taking as many steps as I need to in order to be successful. I get inspiration from black and white photography because I feel like they tell a different story than images with color. I like to use black and white images with different values, mainly low key values. I have always found black and white photography interesting, but as I explored and learned about different styles of black and white photography such as noir, mid key full scale, high contrast, it became more passionate and inspired and it became a really good way for me to express my feelings through image and text. When I edit images on photoshop, I use grayscale, which are shades of gray and monochromatic images.

Artist statement

My creative work includes drawing, painting, sculpture, graphic design and concept design. I believe that insights in art are practiced to find ones talent and I find that my work is one that will influence others. I work These drawings are simultaneously representational and abstract, static and dynamic. The drawings communicate important qualities embedded throughout the faces of my work. I think of my installations as three-dimensional drawings I often use materials, such as micro pens and gel pens, to define space and form. In these works I use pictures and text to create tension to the viewer to understand the importance of the cause. in particle things I find most important is my passion to help animals from becoming endangered.

I started to really love modern art after studying the great artist Herni Matisse. He was an inspiration because as a young age was a very talented artist and became more abstract with time. In this page I want the message to come across and direct so the viewer understanding will stick with them. My goal is to explore the human body and mind to recreate more detailed contour our faces to show emotion and a story. In my earlier work I started very abstract to come to realize that towards the end I became less abstract and more clear. I see this juxtaposition between nature of the human body and the words that come out. This emphasizes the way the human mind works and how we see some words before the others. My goal with installation of my art is to transform the space into a charged space to dislodge myself and the viewer from the unfocused gaze we so often directed at the everyday world. The arts nature will create an experience that will change how we do things.
