Project #4

I chose this format because I thought it was interesting and I want to know more details about this format/statement. Manifesto focuses on a group of people sharing a common perspective or a form of social and political philosophy. A manifesto is similar to an artist, design, vision, and mission statement. It is really all about you and your own style. Manifesto talks mostly about art, literature, or politics. It is a set of ideas where artists share their opinion, objective, and their point of view with one another.

My manifesto mainly involves in art. A manifesto statement is really Read More...

Manifesto – part 3

Your life does not depend

on someone else. Do what makes you happy.

Don’t always try to please the certain someone.

Don’t let those negativities get in your way.

Don’t let your talents down.

After all, it’s your life and not others.

Life is all about expressing your own talents.

Don’t let it get destroyed.Read More...

Project #3 Completed

The use of technology has been part of our everyday life. Have you ever not carry your smartphone for at least a day? Can we as humans even do that?  Things started to change over time as technology becomes more and more advanced throughout our lifespan. People nowadays can just communicate through the use of electronics such as the following: Smartphones, laptops, tablets, iPods, smartwatches, etc. One of the advanced technology throughout the world would be the use of cameras. Cameras had changed over the years. Back in the day when people want to take pictures, they will have Read More...

Value Portraits ~

This is the final version of my project which is a GIF. I love how everything turned out. Overall my project was a success even though there were some difficulties in between. It has definitely been a while since I’ve last painted. I haven’t painted in a very long time ever since kindergarten. Something I could have done better was painting my self-portrait a little better. I don’t like seeing how my self painted portrait has like different individual shades.… Read More...

Diastic

The word me and Nathaniel had was diastic, I chose this word because I think it is a unique word.

Diastic is a word coined by Jackson Mac Lowfrom the Greek words “dia” (through) and “stichos”(a line of writing, a verse). He termed it as deterministic method that relied on the use of two texts

Juxtaposition Project

This is a perfect example to represent juxtaposition. The juxtaposition here shows two buildings made in different years. The building on the left looks a little bit old meanwhile the building on the right looks newer. The contrast between these two buildings is totally different. The building on the left has more colors and the windows are more geometric but old. On the other hand, the building on the right has a solid grey color. The windows are skinnier and much taller than the building on the left. Also, the materials were made differently. As you can see the building … Read More...

BHS Field Trip Reflection

This advertisement inspired me because it has something to do with smoking. The poster says, “別讓你寶貴的生命在煙霧中消逝” which means don’t let your precious life fade away in the smoke. This poster did stand up to me since my dad used to smoke and my grandpa on the other, he still smokes which is heartbreaking. I found this poster somewhat surprising because it is the only thing in Chinese. Nothing else in the field trip has words in Chinese except this one in particular unexpectedly. After seeing this advertisement poster I feel like my grandpa needs to call the number on the … Read More...
