Project #2: Process

In my essay i knew what i wanted to include because i went over the points needed to be added in my essay and i found a way to work it into my project the best way i knew how. i added more information and detail about the area and the two buildings/stores i chose. i eliminated most things that were not important to the subject matter and most repeating facts i eliminated from my essay. to organize my essay i just put the into first and directions to my place then everything else just fit into place. my classmates feedback help me add what i needed into my essay like what i was missing, like the senses i forgot to put in my draft so i added that into my final project, and also by reading my classmates essay helped me see how to organize the essay and gave me examples of different thesis statements. i honestly lost track of time while doing this project because i had a moment of writers block toward the end of the essay.

English Project #2 Process

In this project, I knew what I wanted to include by reading the project description. This project is all about over lapping New Yorks, how two different things in New York overlap in one place. Such as; old and new, residential and commercial, historic and replaceable, natural and man-made, constructed and under-construction, well maintained and in disrepair, celebrated and forgotten, etc. I then reread what I wrote and refine it by changing some words, adding new thoughts and take away what is not important. I determine what to eliminate by what I saw as repetitive and what really does not really say a lot about the topic. I figured out how to organized my project by the order in which the project task asked, First I wrote about how to get to the location I chose, then how they over lapped. As my classmate read my work and give me feedback, it helped to improve my work. By reading my class mates work and give them feedback, it helped to me to also improve my work because as I was reading their work, I realized what was missing in my work. I spent approximately 15 minutes brainstorming, 15 minutes, outlining, 40 minutes drafting, 15 minutes revising, 15 minutes polishing. A total of 1 hour and 40 minutes.

This project is all about introducing ourselves so I included what I wanted people to know about me, both personally and professionally. I then reread what I wrote and refine it by changing some words, adding new thoughts and take away what is not important. I determine what to eliminate by what I saw as repetitive and what really does not represent me as much. I figured out how to organized my project by the order in which the project task asked, first I introduced myself then I talked about the avatar I chose to represent me, then how others may interpret my avatar in the wrong way, and finally how my profile overall represents me. As my classmate read my work and give me feedback, it helped to improve my work. By reading my class mates work and give them feedback, it helped to me to also improve my work because as I was reading there work, I realized what was missing in my work.
