Saturation Studies: Phase 1

Color Wheel
Color Wheel

In order to create this color wheel I had to use only the 3 Primary colors, (RED, YELLOW, and BLUE). To create the rest of the colors, I then had to mix these colors together to create the secondary colors (ORANGE, GREEN, and VIOLET). And so on.

Time Spent – About an hour and half.

  1. I really like how it turned out. I like how you didn’t leave the outside of the wheel white but add in some color. It looks like a tie-dye shirt! The wheel it self it the focus point that it stands out. Nice job!

  2. As the others said, the addition of colors around the wheel makes for a nice effect, and you get to use up any excess paint as well. I do think, however, that the wheel itself might have looked better if you hadn’t used white to partition each color because there would have been a consistent appearance to match up with the outer part of your piece.
