Registration: Loubna Aly

Early Registration is happening now. I know that many of you are having trouble registering. Me and the rest of the advisors will be running a registration workshop. This is a great opportunity to learn how to register and learn other very important aspects of CUNYfirst (like checking your grade, unofficial transcript and financial aid).

On monday, I will bring in a sign up sheet for the registration workshops. But, you need to make sure you know what major you’re in and what classes you need to take, so during the workshop, we can just work on registering for classes.

The workshop will be taking place in the student center (ground atrium floor. I will walk with you there) and will be on the following days and time:

Thursday November 20th, 1-2pm

Monday November 24th 10:15-11:15 am

Tuesday November 25th 1-2pm

Wednesday November 26th 2-3pm

I will be attending all workshops except for the one on Monday. If you feel that you need me with you, then it would be best to sign up for the Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday workshops. Yet again, sign up for the workshop that suits your schedule best. I strongly encourage you attend this workshop, it’s a great opportunity to register early for classes and learn how to register for future reference.

Once again, I will be bringing in the sign up sheet on Monday. There is only 24 seats available for the each workshop, therefore you need to think about the dates given above so by Monday, you are able to sign up quickly.

If you have any questions, please contact me ASAP. Thank you.

  1. Loubna, are these workshops for all students enrolled in First-Year Learning Communities? This is a great opportunity for students to meet other students in the program and for them to learn about CUNYFirst from experienced peer mentors. Thanks!

    1. No Problem. Yes, this is for all FYLC students. We will be gathering them together to help them register and become more familiar with CUNYfirst. And, you were right, it is in the Learning center, AG18. The other mentors called it a student center for some reason.
