  1. Your job in writing these glossary entries is to understand the words in the context of our reading, and to spread that understanding among your classmates and anyone else reading our site. If you give the long list of definitions for the word and the quotation, you’re not telling us what you understand about the word in context, which definition is appropriate, etc. Please fix this throughout your entries.
