Hi Class,

Last class we had our Module 02 Final Pin-Up, and I saw a lot of good work, some work in progress and others that need more dedication. But overall, I hope you all took the time to observe your classmates’ work and gained a better understanding of how to improve your own drawings.

As a former student myself, I always felt that a big part of my education came from learning and collaborating with my classmates.

Please remember to submit your drawings digitally no later than Sunday, Nov. 16th. I know I repeat this often, but I will continue, do your readings and your sketchnotes.

Make sure all drawings are scanned correctly, include a title block, and are fully annotated.

There is still time to complete the extra credit drawing. Believe me, this will help you greatly, and it’s a strong demonstration of skill for your portfolio.

Do not forget that Module 02 is a very important part of your overall grade.

We are now entering Module 03, and you will be required to make many decisions, everything we practiced and learned in the previous modules. Your calculations are very important because they will guide your decision-making when selecting W-beam sizes.

If you still feel confused about the math and calculations we covered in class, it may be because you need to re-read last class’s readings more carefully.

I plan to start reviewing your drawings on Monday, and I will provide each of you with a grade and comments by next class.

Also, as a reminder, you will have an opportunity to improve your drawings from all modules for the final class pin-up. Go over your drawing set and start planning your time and strategy now if you want to take advantage of this opportunity.

See you next class.
