Everyone loves games and we decided to develop a game that incorporates researching of companies in an entertaining method that familiarizes individuals with the companies. We decided to take the classic game, Duck Hunt,  which was developed by Nintendo in 1984, and implement our take on the game. Duck Hunt, which was a simple arcade game, was developed as a crude simulation for the sport of duck or clay shooting. Though Nintendo created this game similar to the actual sport, they had the ability to modify the animation and add in additional distractions as well as compliments or insults. For example, the dog would jump “out from the grass as a distraction to the player as they try to shoot ducks, thus putting himself in the line of fire and enabling a player to inadvertently shoot him” (Wikipedia). It allowed people who normally don’t go duck hunting for sport, to be able to experience something new as they use a laser pointer that was made to imitate a firearm.

How we decides to incorporate the companies into the game is by replacing the targets with company logos that are popular as well as non-popular. And for each target shot, the player would accumulate a specific amount of points and can review the origin and a brief summary of the logo in an achievement database. This allows players to recognize logos in society and give them an idea of the role the company takes to benefit the community. Overall, the game would be played normally, using the proper controller and shooting the targets to gain the most points possible. We developed this idea to incorporate research in a way that players can learn something and have an enjoyable experience playing a classic game.
