I’m looking forward to meeting you for this wonderful journey across our city as we learn about restaurants, the Subway, sidewalks, parks, buildings, electronic stores, hospitals….and whatever sights, sounds, and smells that the students bring to the course. We’ve seen some amazing projects over the years and you are joining a track of so many fantastic and interesting things that have been done. Some of us will laugh about what we find, others be distressed, and others be upset. Such is the life of the city where people do so many different things. Hopefully, at the end of the day you will have learned something about your profession as it relates to your neighborhood. Additionally, if you work hard at it, this is an opportunity to create a thesis that you will be proud of to present for graduate school applications or talk about at your next job interview.
