Ted Talk

In my opinion, what makes this public talk interesting are all the pictures used as examples of what Beatrice Coron finds joy in doing. Not only are her artworks amazing, but the names she uses for each work is clever, relevant to her work, and also gives us a preview and an idea as to what to expect. I also like the fact that Beatrice ended her presentation with a little dialogue that makes you think, and causes us to be able to relate to her art. In this presentation, I didn’t really like that the presentation was so long. Although as time progresses, the presentation becomes more interesting, but eventually, your mind begins to wander.

Plagiarism

What is plagiarism? – Plagiarism is when you copy work done by someone else and call it your own without giving credit.

What is the CityTech policy about academic honesty? – Your prof has the right fail you, and possibly get suspended or expelled.

Why shouldn’t you plagiarize? – You shouldn’t plagiarize because it’s dishonest. It’s stealing and it’s unfair to the person you stole the work from.

Good website vs Bad website

In my opinion, a well designed website would be Audible.com. This website is used to download music for a monthly fee. I think this website is well designed mainly because the website isn’t cluttered. Everything is spread out, the font is a good size which makes it easy to read, and the color scheme is very basic, which is pleasing to the eye. A plus for this website is that it has little to no drop down menus. Everything on this website is straightforward.

In my opinion, a poorly designed website would have to be nba.com. Although this website doesn’t have much color to blind you and to be an eyesore, but everything is a pit clustered together and confuses you a bit.

Project Credit

Whether I take the credit or not totally depends on the situation. Although I know it would be wrong to take the credit on a project my colleague did more work on. If I were in danger of failing the class, I would definitely take the credit for the project whether I did little or no work. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If I were doing well in the class and expecting a high grade, then I would be less likely to take the credit.

Taking the credit would be wrong if you didn’t do any work. On the other hand, if you did some work, then you deserve some credit. Just because someone else did more work than you doesn’t mean that they deserve all the credit. Of course they deserve more credit, but definitely not all of it.

An Apple for an Orange

Hey, wanna trade my apple for your orange? Apple’s are better fruit and it would better benefit you. For one, you don’t have to peel it. So it’s always ready to eat unlike an orange.  You have to take the time out to peel it and it’s a lot of work. Eating apples is healthier for your body seeing as they help keep the doctor away.

Navigation

I think almost anyone can naviate through this site without problem. It’s very straight forward and very easy to find whatever it is you’re looking for. I like the layout of this website. Most websites have either simple layouts, small font and blinding colors, but this website is simple, font big enough to read with ease, and the color scheme is very pleasing to the eyes. One thing I would change about this website would probably be to add a little more colors. Although the colors currently being used are pleasing to the eye, it can use more variety. To find the I-765 form was fairly easy. You scroll to the bottom of the page and there is a list of forms.
