Live Well Session 3

I am probably late but wanted to wait until I got the results from my doctor and I wanted share my progress.  I finally ended up in the action stage in LiveWell and I had never mentioned it before but my doctor had diagnosed me as pre-diabetic before we started the LiveWell and now I am not.  All my levels are normal and I am down another 4 pounds.  I am very grateful for the LiveWell session.  I got a lot of great information from it and it was free which is a big plus.  Hoping to stay on the the right track and be at my goal weight by the end of the year.

Live Well Session 2

Since completing session two I have decided to make changes.  For the past two weeks I have been walking at least 3 miles a day and I am eating more fruits and vegetables now.  I am already down 5 lbs and I am hoping to get to my goal weight by the end of this year.

Live Well session 1

After answering all the questions truthfully on LiveWell I am in preparation phase for Healthy Eating and Stress Management.  One of the questions regarding exercise asked if the doctor had spoke with me about not exercising within the past 6 months.  I answered yes so it would not allow me to answer more questions in that section. While I don’t have a serious medical condition that is preventing me from exercising, I have Plantar fasciitis that is being treated and the doctor asked to avoid doing to much.  I enjoy working out and because I can’t my stress level has increased.  I am hoping that LiveWell will guide me on how to deal with some of these issues.

Active Minds

Active Minds sounds like a great support system for college students. It is always unfortunate to hear when someone takes their own life. Allison Malmon has taking the tragedy of her brothers suicide and is using it to help others. It is great that the organization has spread to more than 400 campus chapters, and hope that students are using the services.
