Now is 2020ļ¼Œcompare a decadeļ¼Œhuman have huge improvement in a areaĀ  about getting information. No need to buy a news paper or go to library looking for informationļ¼Œjust go online and

search what you want . Later we also can watch news on social media while we making friendsĀ  with the person who have the same ideaļ¼Œsame hobby. It is land of free you can post anything you likeļ¼Œshare your thoughtļ¼Œ then you can find out other person who like you then become a group extending youĀ circle of friends. When we are happy about social media bringing people togetherļ¼Œbut the on the other hand it is isolating us by what we want to hear and see.

People love to hear what to hearļ¼Œsee what they want to see. Our brain is a information filterļ¼Œrepel any information you are not interested. On the social media you can share your optionļ¼ŒbutĀ  unlikely to convenience other who have the opposite ideaļ¼ŒbecauseĀ  they dislike your idea and social medial for looking for people who share the same idea. No matter howļ¼Œthey can find the people share the same idea and get into a little group and supportļ¼Œrepel the opposite idea.Ā  At the end each group will be a comfort zone for people who like it and never move outļ¼Œform an isolation between idea.

Quarantine is making each and every one of us stronger than before. We all went from having our normal life to a complete different turn. Some may have adapted quicker than others, but what truly matters isā€¦ everyoneā€™s doing their best on coping this unexpected situation. This semester has taught me to appreciate school more and how much I miss the school classrooms. However, I learned that I have the ability to do online course for most subjects without the need or feeling to be in a physical school setting (I originally had one hybrid class for this semester as a ‘tryout’). I hope when this semester ends we can continue to all work on ourselves. Be proud for all the things youā€™ve during this pandemic. To keep in mind that better things are coming because this quarantine wonā€™t last forever. With that being said, I wish everyone the best of luck. We are in this together. Stay safe and strong!

Optional Prompt-Leviza Murtazayeva

First of all, I want to wish every student and the professor good luck on finishing up the spring semester. Nobody expected us to end up in a world crisis, so it is important to give yourself enough space and time to be comfortable with the surroundings.Ā  My suggestions on keeping a routine are to try to get your schoolwork done as fast as possible and then you can set up a routine for your best fit. For example, you can choose to read a book, watch some shows, cook something healthy, or even go for a run. Even though it sounds like a typical routine, it is really hard to keep with time nowadays when a day passes by really fast. Lastly, hopefully, everyone is still doing well, keeping up their grades and staying safe from the virus.Ā  Sooner or later all of this is going to be over and we will have the same issues going back to our old routines, so try to take things slow but steady! Have a great week.

Marchellaā€™s Optional Coffeehouse Post

So happy that the semester is coming to an end. Then again, so stressed. The work has been tremendously overwhelming. Especially when you have difficult professors. With classes being online, itā€™s harder to communicate and actually succeed in a class when the professor isnā€™t fulfilling the needs of students. Hopefully all works well and good grades are shown at the end and not only for me but for everyone else. School is hard, during times like this probably makes school way more harder than usual. Good-luck to each and every one of you.

On another note, things have been getting better . Some businesses will start to reopen slowly. It will take time for things to be ā€œnormalā€ again but as expected, this pandemic was no joke. After this is all done, everyone should still take precautions because a virus shouldnā€™t be the ONLY reason we take care of ourselves and others. This has been hard for everyone but we got this!

Positive news during this pandemic

I came across an article just the other day that businesses may or may not begin opening, this Friday the 15th. I also read that New York has been doing a bit better and if we keep this up we will be out very soon! This article was explaining that New York City and Long Island have made progress since Cuomo first indicated the local reviving rules, however nor is prepared at this point by all accounts, meeting four and five of the seven measurements, separately, as of Monday. Those seven measurements depend on two center components: disease rate and limit. Areas must demonstrate they have controlled their contamination rates and that they have set up the emergency clinic, testing, following, detachment and consistence abilities to securely continue their re-openings. Districts that meet the standards can, as of May 15, enter the first of four reviving stages, which incorporates development and assembling business. The subsequent stage includes retail, account and expert administrations, while the third tends to food and friendliness. Training and amusement will be the last divisions to continue, Cuomo has said. A fourteen day observing period is required between stages. Every area has a Regional Control Room that will supervise advancements. Should a district quit meeting one of the seven measurements anytime, its control room will go about as an “electrical switch,” successfully delaying the reviving procedure until the measurement is re-met. So if we cooperate and meet all the requirements, we can be out in no time!

One way that I get creative is by making Tiktoks. These are little videos that you can upload on the app and express your creativity. I try to make relatable videos to gain a following on the app. I also keep up with fashion trends that are popular at the moment. I love to put together outfits and post them on Tiktok. Ā Another thing that has taken up my time was editing pictures and putting filters on them to make them brighter and more appealing to the eye. Before quarantine I took a lot of Ā pictures of food, the city, myself, and a bunch of other pretty things. I use an app called VSCO to edit my pictures. I save them and keep them for when I can get a chance to post them. I also go on walks and appreciate the nature around me. I was in Pennsylvania for most of the quarantine, so going on walks is what made me happy. I walked to the river next to my house and took pictures of the sunset. Then I would edit those pictures. This whole experiance changed me and the things that matter to me. I try to be as creative as I can in order to keep my mind entertained.

A creative learning outlet that I have recently been using during this time is getting more into fashion and social media . For example I have been using pinterest as inspiration to find outfits to wear after quarantine is over or just in general to help improve my style . From looking at pinterest I have been reorganizing my closet and attempt to recreate the styles Iā€™ve seen on the website with what I currently have. Although spending money is not the smartest thing do during this situation I have been online shopping a lot more because of pinterest but I am going to make sure I get use out of all the things I have purchased. Not only have I used pinterest for fashion I also have been using it for finding recipes causing me to order take out less and make food at home. I have obtained more cooking skills because of pinterest and also youtube videos. So socialĀ  media has made a really big impact into me obtaining some kind go skill such as cooking.

Ā  I have also been working out more so I noticed I have become a little bit stronger then I was before quarantine began I have been using a social media platform such a youtube to help me workout by watching videos and following programs . Again social media was a big part of this because thats is what influenced me to start these activities.

One creative thing that I have recently discovered that has helped me during this time is working on my own business. Working on my business has always been my go to place because it give my a chance to show my creativity. Doing business work, I can find myself more relaxed and calmer when I discovered new creative ideas which I scroll through Pinterest and Instagram.

Besides the discoveries, my business is somewhat impacted by COVID-19, I can promote and better my brand. Due to people staying home bored causes them to spend money which is better for in the long run. But, then there people not being able to work to make money which has an effect on my business because theyā€™re not able to buy from me.

Jennifer- Procreate

A creative or learning outlet I have recently discovered that has helped me during this time was this drawing app called Procreate. I have seen many artists moving from traditional to digital work. So I began to wonder if I should get it or not since it was a paid app. Ā After the quarantine started, I noticed the leisure I was given and decided to drift back to my drawing. I would say that itā€™s worth the money once you got the hang of it. Just like Joyce and Marchella, I too have been using Pinterest for inspiration.

Before diving straight to drawing on Procreate, I took my time and researched some tips and strategies on how to use it. Their brush library provides a ton of drawing tools from pencils, pens, brushes, and inking to textures, air sprays, and more. Procreate created the tools to imitates how they would look in reality and they are customizable too. The undo tip where you have to tap on the screen with two fingers will become a habit since it already became a habit for me. Understanding the concept of layering earlier will help and save you from struggling in the long run. It’s also fun to watch the mini-video where procreate records your time-lapse of your work.

During this pandemic I’ve been trying to learn how to bake. I never really been hands on in the kitchen.Ā Iā€™ve been baking with my sister and grandmother. My grandmother has been our baking mentor since quarantine. Sheā€™s not much of a baker herself but sheā€™s been trying to help us anyway. So farĀ me and my sister have made apple pie,Ā cookies, and brownies. Itā€™s beenĀ pretty excitingĀ because Iā€™m not used to being in the kitchen. Also, eating something youā€™ve put work into has a satisfactory feeling.Ā Ā

Iā€™m looking forwardĀ toĀ bakingĀ more desserts. Hopefully, my skills will increase as time flies byĀ and Iā€™ll be able to bake more advance desserts.Ā Ā
