Mar colonization

As technologies improve we can tell that Earth is kind of “crowd” for us human beings. Not to exaggerate, if we keep on doing the things that’s damaging the environment, Earth probably is going to die in another 200 years. Elon Musk came up with the idea of Mars colonization. He decide to send 100 explorer who volunteer to go to Mars by his starship he build in the near future that contains the bridge, living compartment, gym, bathroom and restaurants for the explorers to live in for about 8-10 months, because that’s the time it takes for the starship to go from Earth to Mars. Will they succeed?

The 1950s was a decade dedicated to the post World War II, conception of the Civil Rights Era, and the start of the Cold War in America. With economic expansion following World War II many people had to ration their money and food. The 50s was known as the “Golden Age of Capitalism” where the economy grew exponentially after the collapse of Bretton Woods monetary system, the collapse brought high and sustained levels of economic, productivity growth, and giving lower classes high wages. The “Golden Age” term also applies to the introduction of televisions and media, with the emergence of live shows. Using online sources this essay will explore the adoption of televisions in American homes and convey many social/psychological issues within the country from the 1950s to the 1960s and so on.

Depression

Is depression real? Why do people have depression? What causes people to go through this pain? Does depression affect your mental health? Depression has become a serious matter in today’s world. You may not see it but depression is real. Everyone goes through a hard time in life where you might just fall into depression. Women are more affected by depression than men. “Depression negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act”. There’s not a single cause of depression, there’s many reasons, for many people it may vary. The main reason would be abuse, a major conflict. Depression may not seem harmful but it is. We tend to take depression too lightly, not knowing the real reason behind it, and also what people may go through. The US and China are known to have the highest rate of depression. Those that have depression feel overwhelmed, they tend to be sad all the time. Feeling sad sometimes is normal but feeling sad on a daily basis is a real problem. Depression is considered to be a serious condition. People often joke around when they hear about depression, but depression is a serious matter and we shouldn’t judge one that goes through it. Depression may cause mood swings, change in appetite, sleep patterns may differ, and you may not be interested in anything.

Divorce in the different cultures.

Introduction:

Why do people divorce? What are the main reasons that lead to divorce? What kind of challenges they are facing during the marriage life? What year of marriage is divorce most common? Does culture affect divorce? What is the highest and lowest divorce rate? Nowadays, divorce, which has been very common in today’s societies, is the major cause that leads to family breakdown. However, in some cases, divorce is the only solution for a family to live in peace and live their life happy. When marriage life of a couple become intolerable, the woman and man may think, that divorce is the only fair solution for both of them to live their life happily and the way they wanted. Each society has different culture of divorcement. Commonly, divorce is universally seen as something negative across many cultures. For instance, cultures that focus on collective identity tend to perceive divorce as a failure of societal duties that results from a personal weakness and flaw. The family and community especially, Middle East of Asia, looks down on and sometimes blames the couple for not trying hard enough.  According to the article “India has the lowest divorce rate in the world: Countries with lowest and highest divorce rates” published inIndia Today, November 20, 2018, describes that India has the lowest divorce rate. India has less than 1 percent divorce rate. Moreover, the article of India Today states, that the Global divorce rate increased up to 251,8% since 1960. Every year, world organizations such as UN record Global divorce rates. On the other hand, according to the UN, the country with the highest divorce rate is Maldives.

In this research essay of Annotated Bibliography, I am expected to find more information about divorce in different cultures and how the culture affect divorce. I will try to find out the reasons of divorce and the difficulties which couple is facing during the marriage. Moreover, I am expected to give new statistics about divorce rate (the highest and lowest rate) and divorce notion/concept in each culture. Lastly, I will get personal interview by phone with my mother to ask her opinion about divorce.

If America is a united nation, why is it that we don’t t carry out marijuana regulations consistently throughout all the states? Why are people facing jail time for marijuana distribution while others profit from it? How is this allowed to happen? Marijuana is only legalized for recreational use in fourteen states. One of these states includes California, which marijuana farms are grown. But, in New York the smallest amount will result in you being arrested and based on your previous offenses will lead to serious jail time. I believe the same rules should apply to all states regardless. Recently, there has been steps to make marijuana legalized for recreational use but there are still people sitting behind bars for it. What will it take to let these people free or pardoned? Does the President of the United States have to step in or can it be resolved within state. I don’t believe it is ethical for these people to still be behind bars.

I actually needed some time for decide what was going to be my topic and I did indeed, the racism topic that is problem around the world most people suffer because of they don’t look same, racism is really sensitive topic to write about but mostly with people with different background and point of views. who actually start a racism? where it came from? why do so few people actually admit to being racist? why did any one needed to use with negative meaning? all of this question want to be answered to see what caused people to be racist cruel to others what can make person be angry at another person just that guy isn’t same as he is. Because of racism it’s always war around the world conflict. Imagine being terrorized around the streets because your just different form other how difficult could it be, so many kids family’s are just like that as they scared of people who sees them as different, probably millions around the world every one just trying to survive with difficult times every day, people were racist all the time probably they had different name to call but actually nothing changed words probably yes but action didn’t some still say and act violent caused by racism, as I motioned earlier all of this questions need to be answered and would love to Research more about the topic that is so intriguing and sensitive to talk about.

NATURAL DISASTERS

What causes a natural disaster to happen? What makes a natural disaster a natural disaster? These questions intrigue me to explore more into this topic because before our time, before earth was earth, there has been more natural disasters then we can think of. To answer both of my questions, what causes a natural disaster to happen is the movement of tectonic plates, which can cause Tsunamis, earthquakes, and the eruption of volcanoes. What can also cause a natural disaster is the change in weather such as tornadoes, hurricanes, drought, extreme heat, and extreme cold weather. Moreover, what makes a natural disaster a natural disaster is catastrophic events that can cause major destruction and social environmental disruption. In the subject of Earth Science, students are taught about these natural disasters, how and why the occur, and where they occur, but in reality, there is always more to situations like natural disasters but the stories are always the same, it was caused by the movements of tectonic plates, by the climate change, but what they never get into detail about it why the tectonic plates move, why the climate changes, when and where it all first began, how these disasters got their names, why these disasters continue to occur, and etc. hurricanes are one of the most common natural disasters that are caused by the change in weather like I’ve mentioned before, but if I had to choose a natural disaster that’s most dangerous to me, it would be Tsunamis. Although all natural disasters are “naturally” dangerous, I personally believe that a Tsunami may cost more damage rather than a hurricane because it’s harder to clean up water especially when the water hits places that is nowhere near the ocean and also, as far as I am concerned, it may also take a longer time period to get things back the way they were before as far as electric circuits, buildings, and etc.

Introduction

Why do colleges make so much money off of their own players who don’t even make a cent back? Why do colleges sometimes put a player jersey up on auction and that player can even get a percentage of the money? Why athletes can’t make money off their merch? Is it ethical to let athletes put their body on the line to give it their all to win games which sometimes could lead to injuries and not pay them?  The NCAA (which stands for National Collegiate Athletic Association) holds a big tournament every year for basketball athletes called March Madness. According to The Washington Post, the March Madness tournament generates 1.1 billion dollars in revenue a year. All that money and not a single athlete being paid for people going to watch them play. I expect athletes should be paid in the future soon because not all athletes go pro and some may need money now to help their family. Some may say that colleges pay millions for athletes to have free education where other students pay thousands, but if you compare that amount to how much they really profit off athletes it’s honestly outrageous. Athletes are not to be paid through other ways such as youtube or their own merch. If they were to break those rules they would lose their eligibility to play sports for their school. In a way, I feel the NCAA makes athletes feel their own by them and nobody else which is not right. Through research, I will find evidence on why college athletes deserve to get paid and explain with examples of athletes that struggle financially during college and also some cases of people losing their eligibility to play NCAA sports because they had made some money like I said through youtube or even selling there merch.

Soldiers Health After war

Introduction:

my question is that What problems do the soldiers have after war? I chose this question because war is a bad place to be in. People want to protect their country so much that they would risk their own lives and health to protect their country and their families. This is heroic thing what they do to protect us so we could have normal lives. The soldiers give up their normal day routine and their lives. war is a horrible place to be because the soldiers are getting shot at by guns and by tanks and jets. The soldiers are in dangerous environments and are also exposed to chemicals that are not good for your body. They have to train and wake up at early hours every day with no breaks. They see horrible things like their family members and friends die before their eyes. when they see their friends or family members die they cant stop and cry to mourn they have to keep on fighting. The things that soldiers see is horrible and takes a toll on them to the point that even after they come back they don’t want to talk about it to anyone. Soldiers after they come back have problems with them like they have physical injuries, traumatized by the things they have seen, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, problematic alcohol use, and thoughts of suicide. I expect to find in my research is to go in depth of what really happens in the battle field. The soldiers give so much to us and we just ignore them and don’t appreciate what they have given up like their time and not living in their home and their lives. my research is to see how people help them with their problems when they come back. When the soldiers come back from war they get the health care that they need.

A.B. Introduction

As a society one thing that everyone seems to value and enjoy is entertainment. Entertainment can come for a large variety of things such as events, sports, video games, tv shows, and much more. Most of those people that we see in the events and shows get paid to entertain but one of the rare groups that are apart of the entertainment industry, specifically in the sports industry is college sports. Since these athletes are put on tv and perform the same way as professionals do why don’t they get paid at all? I find this very interesting that college athletes don’t get paid because other than age and team names they are doing the exact same actions but not getting a penny out of it for themselves. I also find this topic interesting because my older brother please for the college Stony Brook basketball team and although he’s been training and playing for two years now he gets no funds for what he does. Of course, whenever he needs money he would ask for it and it would be provided by the family but never from the school. One of my fears is my older brother ending up like ”Shabazz Napier”. Shabazz Napier was a college basketball athlete that played his best almost every game but couldn’t stay focused because his stomach was growling. During a public interview after a game, he stated some nights he goes to bed starving because he can’t afford food. I can’t begin to imagine how devastated I would be if my brother was ever put in that position. To have to go out on a field or a court and got it your all because your team is counting on you but you’re unable to concentrate because you’re hungry. Throughout my research, I’m expecting to find an explanation as to why college athletes don’t get paid and what actions are being put in place to change that in the future.
