The professional counseling and student development staff can help with questions about the College, academic or personal problems or other concerns which may be interfering with your success at City Tech. Food insecurity is a high-priority concern at CUNY. You should go here if you don’t have money for food, or if you are experiencing a housing or a financial crisis. The counselling center also provides emotional/mental health counseling, group counseling, workshops, and walk-in hours.

ASAP is designed to help motivated students earn their Associate degree as quickly as possible, with a goal of graduating at least 50% of students within three years or less. The Technology Enhancement Centers (TECs) are available to all students of New York City College of Technology. Voorhees 217 has hybrid computer/drafting tables and high-end Macs. The General 600 lab is a PC lab, and there is a separate, fully equipped Mac lab adjacent to General 600 (General 608). There is also a lab dedicated to ePortfolios, OpenLab, and students taking online or hybrid courses (General 606). The computers have multimedia capabilities and Web access. There are also separate scanners and printers available for your use.

The Service Corps gives students the chance to improve New York City’s future – while gaining real-world work experience and earning $15 per hour.
