Hello there, my name is Rachel. I am a Math education major and also minor in physics. The way I made it into mathematics education is a funny story, but without going in-depth I started as an engineering major and due to personal reasons dropped out and switched to a new program at a new community college. Before I dropped out a physics professor I worked with due to my job at the time told me “Rachel I am disappointed but I guarantee that you’ll be back at it.” And he was right, so thank you professor Shmulia. My overall goal with my upcoming career is to dismantle the idea of “Math People” vs “English People”
