Reflection:

These 3 works are my best and favorites that I’ve done throughout the course. The first one is a color wheel that we did when moving from black and white paint to colored paint and learning about color. Everyone had a partner that they discussed a theme for the color wheel on, my partner and I decided on a Pokemon theme. I decided to do silhouettes of Pokemon whose colors correspond with the color wheel. It came out really well to me, the only challenge was getting the right shape of the silhouettes. The second piece is the final project in this class, which was creating a humument. The title of mine is “Dauntless” and it is designed to give off a feeling of bravery, fearlessness, and determination when reading it. I went for the message of not letting others who judge you for negative reasons get to you. The challenge for this one was finding the right color choices even with the help of the palettes.

The final piece that I chose is a staccato and legato mashup gif. The images each represented staccato and legato sounds of the music we listened to. We then made the mashups into a gif. Making the gif was easy for me because I’m used to Photoshop but drawing out the staccato and legato sounds was probably the challenging part of this project.
