Primary Tasks
- Help Energy Analysis Team integrate property and utility account data into systems
- Ensure that energy and water bill data from various sources remains up to date and accurate in EnergyScoreCards, online software platform
- Collaborate with Bright Power Energy Analysts to provide clients tailored EnergyScoreCards service
- Communicate with clients, utilities, and third party bill data providers to troubleshoot data access and quality issues
- Provide insight on the effectiveness of energy conservation measures our team of engineers has implemented and help analysts and engineers make new recommendations
- Produce data visualization and business intelligence reports for internal and external purposes using tools such as Microsoft PowerBI and Tableau
- Learn about the energy efficiency industry to become the energy expert for the clients
- Use and improve upon existing python scripts, while acquiring the skills to create new scripts for data transformation and analysis
- Contribute to the growth of the company by developing creative ways to use the data and tools at disposal

Skills Required
- Organized and methodical as the job will entail managing a large amount of data across multiple projects; attention to detail is critical
- Self-motivated and self-organizing – this position works with an end deliverable for a client that has many moving pieces
- Data manipulation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with spreadsheet based programs – Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment providing ideas and open feedback
Skills Preferred
- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or similar technical field are preferred, but an equivalent level of industry experience is also accepted
- Experience in the real estate, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainability or building operations world
- Experience with data analysis
- Exposure to SQL, Python, or general computer science skills
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) applications or visual storytelling
- Basic logic and statistics courses
- Familiarity with nosql databases a plus
